On April 7th, the Lambda Eta Chapter was recognized at the OFSA Expectations for Excellence Achievement Reception for Excellence in Community Building & Leadership.  The text of the award is as follows:

Sigma Nu is recognized for its exemplary contribution to the Community Building & Leadership Standard of the Expectations for Excellence through its diverse and collaborative cosponsorships and commitment to community service and philanthropy.  Sigma Nu has focused on the unique interests of all its members and positioned members in leadership roles on campus in which they can best impact the community.

Another Trip to La-Tea-Da

Lambda Eta Chapter loves this place. Reflectively, this place loves the Lambda Eta Chapter.

Spring Break Road Trips

For Spring Break, the Lambda Eta’s separated into 4 different groups, each taking a car on a week-long road trip. We all met as a group once in Lexington, VA at National Headquarters – we even held a Chapter meeting in the Alpha Room!

Habitat for Humanity

On Friday, April 17th, we will be working with the Flour City Habitat for Humanity to help build a house as part of Sigma Nu National’s Founder’s Month of Service.

Frolf This Way

To those of you who attended this event last year in the pouring rain, we will be doing it all over again (without the rain, hopefully). This time, it will be bigger and better than ever.

Frolf This Way, the Chapter’s annual Charity Disc (Frisbee) Golf Tournament, will be occurring on Sunday, May 3rd at 1:00 PM at Ellison Park. Tickets will be a $5 donation, with all proceeds going to benifit Rochester Alternatives for Battered Women.

On Monday January 19, Matthew Spielmann ΛΗ259 and Jordan Parker ΛΗ270 were initiated into the Order of Omega, an elite honor society for members of greek orginizations.  Only the top three percent of greeks are welcomed into the society.  Sigma Nu is truly honored to have two such outstanding individuals.

Mandy, the official Lambda Eta Chapter dog, wishes everybody a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

The brothers of Sigma Nu Lambda Eta made local news in Rochester when RNews shot a piece out the chapter and it’s involvement with the Rochester group Stand Up Guys. Stand Up Guys is a group of men and women working together to speak out against domestic violence. We are encouraging all men to sign the pledge organized by the Stand Up Guys!
